Pltf. claimed that Deft. made an improper U-turn into the path of his motorcycle. Injuries: non-displaced fracture of the hip; bilateral fractured wrists. The right wrist required surgery. Pltf. claimed that he has lost sensation and grip strength. He was hospitalized for 24 days and lost 11 weeks from work. Pltf. claimed that he will develop arthritis in the hip and wrists in the future. Settlement apportionment: The structure has a guaranteed payout of $1,140,749. Pltf.
